They are normally on Turkey Day.
Both, buffet is a real value.
The upper Arlington location did, but 161 is still around. Owner didn't want to renew lease for a long term, and retired.
It's a great selection!
They have a variety of different foods that you can choose from.
Best Chinese restaurant
Always great food! Our favorite on Friday nights!
This is my go to Chinese restaurant! The owners are very nice and the food is delicious. I recommend the sesame chicken. I always eat the leftovers for breakfast, cold! Clean and set up nicely for quiet dinners (unless I take my kids there, haha!). My only critique is they have nothing for children (kids menu, milk, juice) but they did have crayons for my kiddos to color on the table.
Sesame beef sauce was watery and did not have much flavor. It used to be my favorite.
One of the best of the best Asian restaurants in the North end.... We've been going there as long as I can remember. Very clean, inviting and friendly atmosphere! Everything our family has had there has been delicious, I personally like their Cashew Chicken YUM!! Our family will even order take out. Decent prices for the portion sizes. Check out this restaurant, hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it as well 👍😊
We went for the buffet. Restaurant needs a deep cleaning and there were not a lot of vegetarian options.
Very good food, friendly staff. David has been our server for years. Remembers our order everytime. Try the hot and sour soup .
Their buffet is small but wonderful. I usually come earlier in the day but did not make it until 7pm tonight. The buffet is suppose to go on until 8pm and they close at 9pm. I was a bit disappointed when I saw them shutting the buffet down at 7:40 pm. That is why my rating is a 4 instead of a 5. I feel they should keep the buffet totally up until 8:00 as advertised. Otherwise advertise the buffet closing at 7:30.
Went for the Sunday buffet in the afternoon. Most the food was barely warm. The buffet is completely open air, no sneeze guard, this should not be optional. The silverware and glasses feel dirty to the touch. Additionally far more expensive than expected for a fairly small selection of options. The chicken in any of the foods was boneless chicken wings. Tasted like canned bbq sauce. Very questionable mussels and cocktail shrimp. Someone needs to tell them that sesame chicken involves more than just throwing 12 seeds in a pot of gelatin. Server was great, kept our drinks full.
Never a bad dish there!
PRETTY GOOD. Go for the sunday buffet. I recommend the chicken with almonds for lunch during the week. ALSO, their hot and sour soup is the best in Columbus.
Great food with Christmas buffet. Friendly, accomodating staff.
How this place is not packed at all hours, I will never know. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the prices are more than reasonable. I would easily pay twice as much for the quality and quantity of their meals. My favs are the Crispy Onion Pancake, Sesame Beef, and Vegetable Lo Mein. I’m told the Peking Duck is to die for. Complement the meal with a glass of their sweet Plum Wine, and you’ll be on here writing your own rave reviews ;D
Love it. Bamboo Beef 👍
The food is ok, staff is friendly. Walking through the front door seeing a algae covered fountain makes me want to walk right back out. Please get raid of that thing. I'm not sure if the hallway and bathroom are just old or dirty. The containers of sauce sitting on the table uncovered is gross specially with it being flu season. I had asked for fresh sauce from the back and the server didn't seem happy about it.
Nice family owned restaurant. Good food at good prices.
General Tso's Chicken & Hot and Sour soup
The food was just not that good. Soggy and with little flavor. Will search for a better chinese place
Been back a couple times and the food is still amazing. I don’t understand it says that dine in is crossed out. They have dine in.
Excellent food. Friendly staff. Great lunch prices
The receptionist who took my order gave me a different order altogether. when I asked her to change it, she told me to pay for the changes. Very rude.
I had to try a different chinese restaurant after Ding-ho disappointed me. This place was great! Shrimp size and quantity of the shrimp fried rice was very generous. Although the rice a bit oily, it was good. Tso chicken was perfect. It did not have that "freezer burn taste" most locations have so that tells me they handle their product and rotation well! I will be back for more.
Hostess eating her lunch; still chomping when I said, 1 please...she looked around the restaurant like it was full--maybe 5, 6 at the most other diners. At 3 pm she plopped down the dinner menu with the inflated prices. I left as I don't eat dinner at 3 pm. If the menu changes, times should be published.
Got our orders wrong, rice very dry, phone call taken at our table by staff, and more important than getting our order correct. Oh and to top it off, it's almost April and they were still playing a Christmas music tape over their speakers. Sorry not impressed
This is a good place to go for a quiet family dinner. Some of the food isnt the best tasting but the waitstaff are great here.
I love China Dynasty, I’ve been going there for over 20 years and the service is great. Really friendly staff and the food is wonderful.
I have been eating China Dynasty more than 20 years,it only keeps getting better
I have been coming here since my Grandparents were bringing me in the early 90’s. This is one of the best Asian restaurants in Columbus.
Parking lot is very dark need lights, the inside smell bad ,needs carpet replacement
Terrible ,bad attention ,we had to leave ,they never shown up eather to offer a drink.
Hostess was not very welcoming slightly rude (really not too too bad) tried to sell us more than what we asked for pretty meh
Food, service and food were great!
I come here at least once a week. I order to go and eat in for lunch. I judge my Chinese restaurants by their egg drop soup. Here, it’s the best in Columbus. The service is quick and friendly. I highly recommended China Dynasty!
Thoroughly enjoyed. Went in around 2 pm and it was fairly quiet. Nice opportunity to enjoy the Sunday buffet. Friendly staff and a tasty variety on the buffet.
Buffet was not worth it, every other time I have been here and ordered the food is delicious!
Lunch is where it is at. You get soup, an entree with rice and an egg roll for usually under 7 bucks. Huge quantities too, I generally make lunch and dinner out of it. Pretty good food from what I've had. Customer service really is lacking though, be prepared for that. Don't expect service with a smile. Heck, I eat here on a weekly basis and I'm treated like they've never seen me, and it is the same 2 people working the FOH.
So angry!!!!!!! Got the wrong food, did they do anything at all to help make it better? NO, I’m fact I was yelled at on the phone and to my face and they wouldn’t even offer to give me a deal or discount for the correct item. So I will NEVER return to China Dynasty.
We had a lovely delicious dinner tonight! I don't understand why this place wasn't packed! We almost dined privately. I had the Hunan Chicken, perfect! We had Wor Su Gai, amazing, and the kids had Chicken Fried Rice, which was moist and tender! I loved this place!
Awesome food!!! Easy access, friendly staff. Really good buffet.
Not to brag, but I've traveled to China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore on several occasions, and this food is world class. I also like that they have both an American and a Chinese menu, so if you're feeling adventurous but don't want to take a 20hr flight, try this place out. You won't be disappointed. Family owned and operated for 30 years, my Dad introduced this place to our family back in the early 90's, and now my wife & I continue the tradition.David is awesome and always takes great care of us whenever we visit.
Long time, local Chinese restaurant on 161 with good standard Chinese dishes, a nice dining room and attentive servers.
Great food and great service. Best Chinese food out there. Offers buffer on Sundays
Always very good. Staff/Owners are always so kind and attentive. It can get quite busy.
Great Chinese food. As a family, we had shrimp with cashews, shrimp lo mein, General Tso chicken, beef sesame, rice..all great
David the waiter is always friendly. Very helpful with Party arrangements. Only complaint is The Crab legs were overcooked, rubbery and skinny. Everyone in our group enjoyed the Sunday Buffet and said they would return.
The Sunday buffet was great. I've eaten off the menu here before and it is even better. The service is incredible. Everyone was very friendly
Disclaimer: Our server was phenomenal. However, the Sunday buffet is NOT of the same quality as the China Dynasty that recently closed in Upper Arlington. Some dishes were too cold and others had been sitting under heat lamps too long. Perhaps their entrees and take out options are good but save your money if you want a pleasurable buffet experience.
This place is a clean and well kept restaurant. Definitely older decor but the place is nice and the atmosphere is good. The food is also great for the price that you pay. The lunch special is incredibly reasonably priced and you get soup and an egg roll with your lunch order. Really great place. This place has won several awards in the past for their food. They have a nice bar in the evenings as well. Overall would recommend going to this place. Great food for the price.
I used to love going here and would usually get the empress chicken my favorite dish but over the years they changed ingredients or something because a lot of the dishes I used to order we're not the same. I just heard recently they were going out of business so I would like to thank them and wish them the best!
Terrible food, don't go there, food was dry and old. Way over priced!
